Tailored Carpet Care
Beware the "Cookie-Cutter" Clean.
At Cottesloe Carpet Cleaning, our three decades of experience have taught us that no two carpets are the same. A lightly soiled, year-old wool blend requires a completely different approach than a 15-year-old heavily trafficked synthetic pile. We don't use a generic checklist; we use an adaptive methodology. We assess the age, fiber type, and specific soil conditions of your carpet, and tailor our restorative process to achieve the absolute best result without causing damage.

Frequently Asked Questions.
What is steam cleaning?
“Steam” cleaning or hot-water extraction is our process of carpet cleaning whereby hot water is injected into your carpet at high pressure and immediately extracted.
Because it is an extraction method, bacteria, dust mite, and various other pollutants and allergens are “sucked” from your carpets and outside through our waste recovery system.
Steam cleaning is recommended by all the major carpet manufacturers, and in fact has been rated by “Choice” magazine to be the most effective carpet cleaning method to remove and extract soil, pollutants, sources of bacteria, odours, and allergens from the carpet
What is a Truck-Mount?
We use state-of-the-art truck mounted steam cleaning equipment which are carpet cleaning plants valued in excess of $50,000 mounted in our vans. These machines offer 5-10 times the cleaning power of conventional portable steam cleaning machines, allowing deeper cleaning and faster drying times. Bulky, noisy equipment stays outside your home.
How long will it take to dry?
Drying times vary, however thanks to our high-suction truck mount and our dedicated ‘dry pass’ technique, most carpet will dry within twelve hours – some in as little as two, some overnight. Drying times depend on weather, indoor air circulation and ventilation, as well as the type of carpet, its age and condition. Leaving ceiling fans on or windows slightly open will speed this up further.
How long does a professional carpet cleaning job take?
Although cleaning times vary from job to job, the average time to set up and properly clean 3 average sized rooms of carpet is around one hour.
Do you move furniture?
We can work around your heavy furniture or help move lighter items like sofas and tables as needed. We always place protective tabs under furniture legs to prevent wood stains or rust transferring to the freshly cleaned carpet.
How often should carpet be cleaned?
Major carpet manufacturers recommend that you vacuum carpet daily and have them professionally steam cleaned every 6 – 12 months. It most cases we recommend having a thorough carpet clean at least once a year.
Are your cleaning agents safe for wool?
Absolutely. As specialists in the Western Suburbs, we understand natural fibers. We use safe and appropriate chemistry that cleans effectively without damaging the natural fibres.
Can you guarantee all stains will be removed?
If a stain can be removed, we have the chemistry and experience to remove it. However, some spills permanently alter or dye the carpet fiber. During our initial walkthrough, we will assess any problem areas and give you a straightforward, honest appraisal of what is possible.
Why is another carpet cleaning company I’ve spoken to, cheaper than you?
Different carpet cleaning companies operate different machines, have different specifications, and sadly, vastly different standards – We believe we are very competitively priced for the service that we provide.
The truth is, we don’t compete on price. We compete on quality (if our competitors want to beat us, they have to beat the quality and standard of cleaning that we produce).
