Tailored Carpet Care

We don’t just wash carpets; we adapt our chemistry and technique to exactly what your home needs. 30 years of experience, zero guesswork.

Beware the "Cookie-Cutter" Clean.

Many budget cleaners use the exact same process, the exact same water pressure, and the exact same harsh chemicals on every single house they visit.

At Cottesloe Carpet Cleaning, our three decades of experience have taught us that no two carpets are the same. A lightly soiled, year-old wool blend requires a completely different approach than a 15-year-old heavily trafficked synthetic pile. We don't use a generic checklist; we use an adaptive methodology. We assess the age, fiber type, and specific soil conditions of your carpet, and tailor our restorative process to achieve the absolute best result without causing damage.

The Cottesloe Standard (Our Core Methodology)

The Walkthrough & Assessment

Every job begins with a pre-inspection walkthrough with you. This is where our experience shines. We identify the carpet fibers, assess the noticeable stains, and give you an honest, realistic expectation of what can be achieved before we ever turn a machine on.

Targeted Pre-Treatment & Dwell Time

We don't rely on the cleaning machine alone to do the heavy lifting. We apply a concentrated pre-spray to the entire area, paying special attention to high-traffic lanes and stubborn spots. While we carefully run our hoses from the van to the furthest point in your home, this pre-spray is given the essential 'dwell time' needed to actively break down soil and oils.

Deep Extraction & The "Dry Pass"

This is where our industrial truck-mounted system takes over. We typically perform two thorough cleaning passes to flush the fibers from the base up. Crucially, we follow this with a dedicated 'dry pass'—suction only. This meticulous extra step extracts the maximum amount of moisture, ensuring your carpets dry as quickly as possible.

Dynamic Stain Treatment

Stain removal isn't a one-size-fits-all spray. During the extraction process, we dynamically treat specific stains using our extensive range of targeted agents, adapting our chemistry to how the stain reacts in real-time.

The Final Groom

We don't leave your home looking like a construction zone. Our non-negotiable final step is utilizing a specialized carpet rake to groom the pile. This stands the fibers up, accelerates the drying time, and leaves the room looking immaculate.

Why "Truck-Mounted" Matters.

Massive Vacuum Lift

Paired with our ‘dry pass’ technique, this means your carpets dry as quickly as possible.

Higher Heat

Breaks down stubborn grease and deeply embedded bacteria instantly.

A Healthier Home

All the exhaust, humidity, and dirty air is vented directly outside to our waste tank, not recirculated around your living room.

Frequently Asked Questions.

“Steam” cleaning or hot-water extraction is our process of carpet cleaning whereby hot water is injected into your carpet at high pressure and immediately extracted.

Because it is an extraction method, bacteria, dust mite, and various other pollutants and allergens are “sucked” from your carpets and outside through our waste recovery system.

Steam cleaning is recommended by all the major carpet manufacturers, and in fact has been rated by “Choice” magazine to be the most effective carpet cleaning method to remove and extract soil, pollutants, sources of bacteria, odours, and allergens from the carpet

We use state-of-the-art truck mounted steam cleaning equipment which are carpet cleaning plants valued in excess of $50,000 mounted in our vans. These machines offer 5-10 times the cleaning power of conventional portable steam cleaning machines, allowing deeper cleaning and faster drying times. Bulky, noisy equipment stays outside your home.

Drying times vary, however thanks to our high-suction truck mount and our dedicated ‘dry pass’ technique, most carpet will dry within twelve hours – some in as little as two, some overnight. Drying times depend on weather, indoor air circulation and ventilation, as well as the type of carpet, its age and condition. Leaving ceiling fans on or windows slightly open will speed this up further.

Although cleaning times vary from job to job, the average time to set up and properly clean 3 average sized rooms of carpet is around one hour.

We can work around your heavy furniture or help move lighter items like sofas and tables as needed. We always place protective tabs under furniture legs to prevent wood stains or rust transferring to the freshly cleaned carpet.

Major carpet manufacturers recommend that you vacuum carpet daily and have them professionally steam cleaned every 6 – 12 months. It most cases we recommend having a thorough carpet clean at least once a year.

Absolutely. As specialists in the Western Suburbs, we understand natural fibers. We use safe and appropriate chemistry that cleans effectively without damaging the natural fibres.

If a stain can be removed, we have the chemistry and experience to remove it. However, some spills permanently alter or dye the carpet fiber. During our initial walkthrough, we will assess any problem areas and give you a straightforward, honest appraisal of what is possible.

Different carpet cleaning companies operate different machines, have different specifications, and sadly, vastly different standards – We believe we are very competitively priced for the service that we provide.

The truth is, we don’t compete on price. We compete on quality (if our competitors want to beat us, they have to beat the quality and standard of cleaning that we produce).
